Thanks for the good comments... it's not been any trouble really so far, and we take it out whenever we have time in dry weather. It has had a mkII radiator fitted as the old mkI rad was worn out...and we decided to fit a Kenlow fan to assist cooling. It has a mkII steering wheel just for comfort and ease of use, but not modified otherwise. Last owner fitted a car alarm but not sure it even works. Very original inside. Smells great...just like an old car!!
Lovely motor, had one in the late eighties....two Toledo engines moulded together, U had to keep an eye on the water level or else the cyl heads would permanently warp onto the block with today's tech easily avoidable with copper head gaskets & modified cooling system or for peace of mind reliability some people wud place a Rover 3.5 V8 with Holley carb (to avoid bonnet bulge)....sold mine after driving my brother's 2.8 inj Capri. still very collectable though. a credit to U.
This car used to be shared between hubby and me...he loves old 70's cars and I just love the Stag....(almost as much as the Interceptor but can't afford one of those). I sold him half of the car when he sold his Scimitar....but now I have another horse, so he bought the car off me. I'll ask him to update you on more details - he'd enjoy that. Thanks for the welcome...it's quite surreal having people admire our car that we've never even met....and for Christopher....it's quite tidy but would need a paint job to be like new. The colour is more unusual but is the same as the Stag used in James Bond.
Very tidy looking Stag looks brand new from the pics.V8 as well i love the sound these make, your a licky person to own a nice car like this not keen on the colour but still a nice looking car!
